Our Next Concert
Now is a great time to join BACH! Ten rehearsals on Monday evenings will lead up to our March 8 concert, “Winter Comfort,” featuring Josef Rheinberger’s ravishing Abendlied (sample recording) and Franz Biebl’s equally beautiful Ave Maria, presented in the rewarding acoustics of McKinley Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Other composers on the program include Hildegard von Bingen, Thomas Tallis, J.S. Bach, W. A. Mozart, Felix Mendelssohn, Max Janowski, Maurice Duruflé, Margaret Bonds, Moses Hogan, and Arvo Pärt.
About Auditions
Choir auditions are held in August and January for singers who read music and are high-school age and older. Our music director will meet with you, hear you vocalize, and discuss your musical background and interest in singing with BACH.
Auditions include scales, tonal memory, sight-singing, and 1 to 2 minutes of any piece of your choice (sung unaccompanied).
(If you’d like to be a soloist with BACH, soloist auditions are held once a year, in late summer.)
