Celebrate the durable delights of J.S. Bach’s music! We’re honoring the 275th anniversary of his death with two of Bach’s best-loved choral works. They’re a perfect start to your holiday season, with their themes of Advent and Christmas. This event will also be offered as a livestream to enjoy at home.

Want to see what BACH is like? Come to our first rehearsal of the season! It’s our Open Sing Night, and everyone is welcome. If you decide afterward to audition, contact our music director, Sarah Riskind, at director@baroqueartists.org, to set up an audition time.

Sing with the BACH choir! We’re a friendly group of ordinary people who love to sing. Our season starts with two of J.S. Bach’s best choral works, his Magnificat in D and Gloria in D.

CHOIR AUDITIONS

Choir auditions are held twice a year, in August and January, for singers who read music and are high-school age and older. Our music director will meet with you, hear you vocalize, and discuss your musical background and interest in singing with BACH. Auditions include scales, tonal memory, sight-singing, and 1 to 2 minutes of any piece of your choice (sung unaccompanied).
