Renaissance Reimagined
Hear how Renaissance masterworks have inspired composers in more recent eras, combining Renaissance music with new texts or pairing old texts with lush new melodies.
Joy Renewed
Experience a new work by composer Dale Trumbore, commissioned by BACH and based on J.S. Bach’s beloved motet “Jesu, meine Freude.” The Washington Post has called Trumbore’s writing “devastatingly beautiful.”
Open Sing Night
Want to see what BACH is like? Everyone is welcome at our Open Sing Night, the first rehearsal of the season. If you decide to audition, complete our Signup Form to set up an August 30 audition time.
Five Cities Baroque Festival Opening Concert
The BACH choir will be featured in the opening concert of the 2026 Five Cities Baroque Festival, performing J.S. Bach’s Cantata 106 Actus Tragicus, plus motets by Heinrich Schütz and Salamone Rossi. The Five Cities Baroque Foundation and Festival gathers stellar artists from Champaign-Urbana, Springfield, Peoria, Bloomington-Normal, and Decatur to deliver world-class performances of 17th- and 18th-century music.
