Celebrate the durable delights of J.S. Bach’s music! We’re honoring the 275th anniversary of his death with two of Bach’s best-loved works. They’re a perfect start to your holiday season, with their themes of Advent and Christmas. First, his Magnificat in D will thrill you with its grand choruses and stunning solos, accented with trumpet and timpani. Next, you’ll hear his Gloria in D — a work so dazzling that Bach used it again in his famous Mass in B Minor. You’re sure to feel a festive mood, as chorus and orchestra join in the richly intertwined melodies that Bach does best. Please stay afterward for a reception with cake.
