Thank you for your interest in volunteering at one of our concerts!
Volunteers are crucial to the success of our concerts. We cannot do this without you, and profoundly appreciate you making time to be part of our events.
Listed below are general descriptions of what you can expect to do for the various volunteer positions.
Production:
Help behind the scenes before and after dress rehearsals and concerts. Set up/take down instrumentalists’ chairs, music stands, and stand lights. Help transport and move large instruments such as harpsichord and timpani.
Box office:
Sell concert admissions (cash or check) and check-in audience members who pre-purchased tickets. (Credit card sales will be handled by the BACH business manager on duty.) Sell merchandise if available. Direct queries about donations to BACH if appropriate.
Usher:
Greet audience members as they arrive. Direct them to Box Office table for ticket sales or check-in. Answer queries about parking, restrooms, water fountains, seating, and other facility needs. Hand out concert programs.
Reception:
Assist with set-up for planned receptions. Provide treats if needed. Serve beverages and reception food to attendees. Clean-up area & return room to pre-event configuration.
