On Sunday, July 24 at 7:30pm, BACH Music Director Chet Alwes will be directing Johann Sebastian Bach’s incredible Mass in B Minor at St. John’s Catholic Chapel. This event will feature the return of many former BACH musicians, and will provide a powerful opportunity to revel in this miraculous music performed to celebrate BACH’s 15 years of music-making in the Champaign-Urbana community

2011 marks BACH’s 15th anniversary of bringing great music to the Champaign-Urbana community. As part of the anniversary celebrations we are presenting a special performance of Bach’s Mass in B Minor on July 24, 2011, uniting current BACH chorus and instrumentalists with former members, which will provide a powerful opportunity to revel in this incredible music. This concert is a major undertaking, and is being presented outside of our regular subscription series.
